AREA SPIRITUAL HAPPENINGS**
Dear Friends,
Below please find some
of the area spiritual events for the month of September. It's often best to
call ahead to be sure schedules have not changed. Please feel free to forward
to those whom you think may be interested. We provide this publication once per
month at no charge, however donations may be sent to Extra Mile Ministries,
P.O. Box 6722, Harrisburg, PA 17112. We welcome Bert Farias, as he makes his
area debut - see complete schedule below. Next
month, Evangelist Christian Hedegaard, originally from Denmark, but now
pastoring a thriving church in the poorest section of Orlando, Fl, will be in
the area for a week. Finally, near the bottom of this email , check out the
detailed revival report from Apostle Lanny Swaim’s visit to our area last month. It should be a great
encouragement to all and a glimpse into what is to come. At
the time of this writing, we ask you to join us in adding our prayers,
along with those of so many others, for all who are being impacted by Hurricane
Harvey and its flooding aftermath.
Blessings,
Rev. Steve Jones

Special Revival Report from Apostle Lanny Swaim’s Time of Ministry in Our
Area Last Month
I left home (Winnabow, NC) for Wildwood, New Jersey on July
25th. On July 26th
& 27th I led worship and ministered at The Carpenter Shop, a
storefront ministry in this beach town.
From there I drove to Wrightsville, Pennsylvania were I stayed in the
home of a couple that often hosts itinerant ministers traveling in the
area. While in Pennsylvania I led
worship and ministered eleven times in various towns and cities over a period
of two weeks and a day. I left
Pennsylvania on August 14th and drove to Berea, Kentucky where I met
with a small group of ladies to begin a work there. From Berea I drove the High Point, NC, where
I visited with one of my sons and my brother before driving home on August 16th,
just in time for my wife’s birthday.
Through connections the Lord established for me I first
ministered in New Jersey and Pennsylvania last summer. While in Pennsylvania the Lord impressed upon
me that He has marked that area for revival, which led to my trip back there
this summer with some special evenings of worship in Dover and Waynesboro, with
the intent to provoke revival.
In all the churches and home meetings I ministered in, the
Lord had me bring basically the same message: that the greatest spiritual
awakening the United States has ever known is about to burst forth like a
tsunami across this continent, and that God has marked certain areas that will
initiate this wave of God’s glory that will sweep the nation.
As a part of the message I brought, I addressed and
ministered to a remnant of believers that have been severely tested and tried
as God has been preparing and positioning them to be at the forefront of this
next great move of God.
I am discovering that this remnant is much larger than I
have known. In fact, almost all the believers
I have stood in front of and ministered to seem to have been subjected to a
time of intense tests and trials, some of which have lasted for years.
Some of them have had an understanding of what God has been
preparing and positioning them for but most have suffered unaware of the
purpose of the process they have been and are being subjected to.
Due to incorrect teaching and understanding of the purpose
of tests and trials in the lives of believers, most of this remnant have been
wrestling with God, much as Jacob did at Peniel (see Genesis 32:24-30), rather
than submitting to God’s judgment, which begins at the house of God (see 1
Peter 4:17).
The purpose of this judgment, which translates as tests and
trials, is to bring us to maturity and position us for ministry, much as Joseph
was matured and positioned for greatness during a thirteen year period from the
time his brothers sold him into slavery until he was promoted to second in
command to the most powerful king on earth at that time (see Genesis, chapters
37 - 41).
Everywhere I ministered in New Jersey and Pennsylvania,
God’s presence manifested powerfully as I led worship and then as I shared my
heart for revival many were encouraged, built up and empowered for the time
ahead.
While I was in Pennsylvania, Chuck Pierce was ministering
at a conference in Lancaster. While
there he spoke prophetically of a spiritual connection for revival between
Pennsylvania and North Carolina (my home state).
While traveling from Wrightsville to Lancaster on Friday
morning, August 4th to hear Chuck speak, the Lord told me that the
churches were not ready for this soon coming great awakening in the United
States, and that it would necessitate the establishment of networks of house
churches to accommodate and disciple the vast harvest of souls that will be
swept into the Kingdom of God.
Networks of house churches is a vision the Lord has given me over a period of time,
which He confirmed to me in two night visions a few years ago, when He appeared
to me and told me I am an apostle.
While sharing this vision everywhere I ministered in
Pennsylvania, I connected with two couples that have a similar vision of house
church networks, connected by apostolic training centers. This is a key element in the coming great awakening,
which is beginning even now.
After hearing Chuck Pierce speak prophetically about the
connection between Pennsylvania and North Carolina, I talked with my wife on
the phone about my Quaker ancestry (she has been researching our ancestral
history).
It seems I have three generations of Quaker ancestors on my
mother’s side of the family that traveled from England to Pennsylvania; Samuel
Allen being the first, then his son John Allen, followed by the third
generation, John Allen II.
John Allen II traveled to Snow Camp, NC, southeast of
Burlington, NC and purchased acreage with the intent to move from Pennsylvania
to North Carolina. Not long after
returning to Pennsylvania he died but his wife, Phebe Scarlet Allen, later
moved with their children to North Carolina, where she then married Isaac
Cox. Phebe’s daughter, Hannah married
Nicholas Barker, an ancestor of Nereus Barker, my great-grandfather, who was a
Quaker preacher.
Hence, this spiritual connection between Pennsylvania and
North Carolina goes back several generations.
Another Quaker family that migrated from England to
Pennsylvania and then on to North Carolina is that of Squire Boone, father of
Daniel Boone, who blazed the Wilderness Road from North Carolina to Kentucky,
in an effort to open up a trail for European Americans to settle the western
part of the North American Continent.
On Monday, August 14th I left Pennsylvania for
Berea, KY. As I was traveling, I passed
by Boonesboro, KY. Immediately I heard
the Lord say, the spiritual connection between Pennsylvania and North Carolina
includes Kentucky.
I met with five ladies in Berea that Monday night and it
now appears that at least three of them will be establishing a house meeting to
stay connected and support each other as they seek the Kingdom of God,
expecting revival in Kentucky. That
meeting came about after I was contacted by a woman that had read one of my
articles on The Identity Network.
I have been called a modern day circuit rider, and I don’t
believe it is a coincidence that my Quaker heritage encompasses Pennsylvania,
North Carolina and Kentucky. The Lord
has established a circuit including these three states that I suspect I will be
traveling frequently as the coming great awakening issues out of these areas
marked for revival.
Several years ago the Lord interrupted me one day as I was
working at my desk and told me that I am a catalyst. I am now realizing that I am a catalyst to
connect Kingdom minded believers to usher in the greatest move of God the
United States and the world has ever known.
A vast harvest of souls is about to be swept into the Kingdom of God,
and we must be prepared to assemble and disciple them as the Kingdom comes in
Earth as in Heaven.
Surely we were born for such a time as this!
